Anastasia Pavlovic
Director

Anastasia is the co-founder of Mekaria, an upcoming fashion social enterprise that upcycles Indonesian batik used clothing and leftover factory fabric into elegant, easy-to-wear bucket hats. Working in partnership with local NGOs, profits of Mekaria go towards scholarships and mentorships for young women in Indonesia.

Anastasia has a Bachelor of Arts in Indonesian and sociology from the University of Sydney. Previously she worked for Facebook in Singapore for five years, and she now works in business marketing at Google in Sydney.

Iona Main
Director

Iona is the Political and Government Affairs Adviser at the Australian Consulate-General in New York City, leading Australia’s policy engagement with the northeastern United States. Prior to this, Iona worked as a foreign policy adviser at Australia’s Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, where she focused on Southeast Asia and the Pacific.

Iona was on the taskforce that planned and delivered the ASEAN-Australia Special Summit in 2018, where her highlight was speaking (very briefly!) to President Joko Widodo. Iona holds a Master of Public Affairs from Princeton University and Bachelor degrees in Commerce and Arts from the University of Sydney. She speaks Indonesian and French.

Rio Afifuddin
Director

Rio is a development practitioner with a Master of International Development Practice in the Governance and Democratisation stream from Monash University. He has worked in the development sphere since 2009, and has experience working on several donor-funded programs across Eastern Indonesia.

Since early 2019, Rio has worked at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Jakarta. He oversees and monitors the implementation of two Australian development assistance programs on decentralised governance and knowledge to policy.

Rio hopes that the youth of Indonesia and Australia can continuously collaborate, foster friendships, and contribute to better and stronger bilateral relations. He also values volunteering as a means to give back to the community. In his spare time, he enjoys blogging, backpacking and cooking.

Scott Robinson
Director

Scott is an Australian lawyer, economist and diplomat posted to Indonesia, working in development. He is currently designing the Climate and Infrastructure Partnership with Indonesia. Prior to this, Scott worked as a development economist and international lawyer for the Department of Foreign Affairs in Canberra.

Holding degrees in both law and economics, Scott is an active volunteer in his community. He is a serving member in the Army Reserves (Legal Officer), the Student Editor of the Australian Yearbook of International Law, and a member of the Australian Rural Fire Service.
