Each year, 30 CAUSINDY delegates take part in a four-day program, including panel discussions, social activities and networking events. CAUSINDY alumni are drawn from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, from senior public servants to prominent academics across Australia and Indonesia. Read some of our past delegates’ experiences below. In 2019, applications are open to CAUSINDY alumni only.

Charlotte Corbyn (2018)

I enjoyed the opportunity to be surrounded by other people who are interested in the Australia-Indonesia relationship, but from very diverse fields. I also loved seeing people, who hadn’t been exposed to the awesome Australia-Indonesia community before, learn about how strong that community is.

CAUSINDY gave me opportunity to share and discuss my ideas for tackling the obstacles in the bilateral relationship. The four-day program of panels, speakers and special events increased my knowledge and understanding of solutions and concrete policy outcomes that are relevant and realistic for government.

Joining CAUSINDY 2017 in Melbourne was an exceptional professional experience. The program brought together an extraordinary selection of people involved in the Australia-Indonesia relationship from business, academia and government. Through the program I met exceptional young leaders who are already making their mark on the Australia-Indonesia relationship. I gained a great deal from the exchanges had with experts in various sectors – from media to academia, government and the private sector.
